AUBURN-Jeannine M. Paradis, 83, of Auburn died Monday November 10th in St. Vincent’s Hospital after a period of declining health. She is survived by her brother Noel Paradis, of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews. Jeannine also leaves 2 great nephews who were a special part of her life; Joseph & Samuel Paradis. She is predeceased by her 7 siblings; Omer, Herve Robert and Raymond Paradis, and Marguerite deBlois, Bertha Thibeault, and Georgette Clapp. Jeannine was the daughter of the late Pierre and Marie (Ferland) Paradis. She was born in Worcester, educated in Worcester schools and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School. Before moving to Auburn 8 years ago, Jeannine lived in the Grafton Hill section of Worcester. Jeannine retired from the Norton Co. where she was employed for over 40 years. In her spare time she enjoyed travelling to Maine and spending time at the beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours held from 10-11 AM, followed by a prayer service at 11 AM on Wednesday November 19, 2014 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street in Auburn. Annette E. O’Halloran of Auburn died Sunday in Brookside Rehab & Healthcare after a period of declining health, she was 91. Her husband Thomas G. O’Halloran died in 1994 She is survived by her 5 children; Jean O’Halloran of Worcester, Thomas O’Halloran of Summerville, SC, Patricia Beckman and her husband William of N. Oxford, Anne Lemay and her husband Gary, of Zephyrhills, FL, and Robert O’Halloran and his wife Gina of Webster, 8 loving grandchildren and 12 adoring great grandchildren, a brother Robert DuHamel, of Southbridge, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers George and Arthur DuHamel. Annette was born in Tiverton, RI. She is the daughter of the late Henry and Edith (Almy) DuHamel. She was educated in Auburn schools. She loved to knit and to sew, and was an avid walker. AUBURN-Gloria E. Clark, 88, of Arlington Street, Auburn died Monday, November 17, 2014 at home with her loving nephew by her side. Gloria is survived by her brother Paul A. Clark and his wife Patricia of Hubbardston, and their children, Paul and Karen; two sisters, Denyse A. Curran of Worcester and Elaine M. Seymour and her husband Neil of Pawtucket, RI; her brother-in-law Jack Lynch of Auburn; many nephews and nieces, including her late sister Shirley’s children, to whom she was a second mother throughout their lives: Anne M. Clark and her husband Thomas of Auburn, Deborah J. Campbell and her husband Ralph of Oxford, Michael J. Lynch of Auburn, John F. Lynch, Jr. and his wife Terese of Auburn, James P. Lynch and his wife Arlette of Worcester, Robert S. Lynch of Auburn, who lovingly cared for her for many years, and Kathleen E. St. Denis and her husband Norm of Sturbridge. Gloria was predeceased by her sister Shirley A. Lynch, and her four brothers, Ralph H., Raymond E., Clarence E. and Ronald F. Clark. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Ralph L. and Blanche B. (Malboeuf) Clark and graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1944. Gloria had lived her whole life in Worcester before moving to Auburn in 2000 and had been a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church, and a member of its Women’s Guild. She was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Administrative Assistant for the Massachusetts Highway Department for 46 years, retiring in 2008. Gloria’s family would like to thank Judy Rozanski for the care and companionship which she has provided to Gloria throughout the past year. Gloria’s funeral will be held on Friday, November 21 from CALLAHAN~FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. Visiting hours are Thursday, November 20 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. SANDWICH – Marjorie J. (Cook) Cutting, 84, of Sandwich, passed away at Royal Megansett Nursing Home, Falmouth on Wednesday, November 19. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles S. Cutting of Auburn. She is survived by her sons Bruce Cutting of Quincy; and James (Jim) Cutting, his wife Mary and their four children – Patti, Kelly, Colleen and Molly – all of Auburn. Sister of Jon S. Cook and his wife Janet of St. Petersburg, FL and Plymouth, MA; Sumner G. Cook, Jr. and his partner Marsha Sullivan of Millinocket, ME; and the late Robert P. Cook and his wife Kim of Falmouth. Dear friend for 35 years, Sally Teeven of Sandwich. Loving aunt of ten nieces and nephews and eight grand nieces and nephews. Marjorie was born in Chelsea, to the late Sumner G. and Frances (Magee) Cook of Winthrop. She spent her childhood in Winthrop, New Bedford, and Auburn. She attended New Bedford High, Auburn High, and Worcester State Teachers College, attaining an M. Ed. in Counseling. Marjorie had a long career in social services, including regional director for the Girls Scouts in CT and MA; guidance counselor at Oxford Public Schools and Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School; Executive Director, Worcester Girls Clubs; Regional Development Consultant to Girls Clubs of America; and Executive Director, Atlanta Diabetes Association. After her “retirement”, she lived and worked in Hilton Head, SC. She relocated to Sandwich in 1999, and then worked for another 14 years at Mahoney’s Garden Center in Falmouth. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, woodworking, refinishing furniture, sailing, reading, her dogs, and most recently her new kitten Marmalade. AUBURN-Ruth F. (Ruksnaitis) Ojerholm, of Auburn died peacefully Monday in St. Vincent’s Hospital after a period of declining health. She was 85. Her husband of fifty-five years, Richard C. Ojerholm, died in 2008 She leaves her two daughters; Judithann Burke and her husband Michael of Auburn and Plymouth, and Jane Balchunas and her husband Philip, of Tampa, FL., 4 loving grandchildren; Robinson Murphy and his wife Regina Gesicki of South Bend, IN Anna-Jane Murphy of San Francisco, Katharine Murphy and her husband Ryan Pigg of Indianapolis, IN., and Jennifer Balchunas of Gainesville, FL, and a sister Helen Leketa of Auburn. She was born in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Jankauskas) Ruksnaitis. She was educated in Auburn schools, and was a graduate of the Auburn High School, Class of 1947. Ruth active in the Auburn community, as a member of the Emblem Club, Saint Joseph’s Church, and the former Auburn District Nurses. In her later years, she did volunteer work at the Fallon Clinic. She loved to entertain, plan events and host large and small gatherings for friends and family. Edward H. Lemieux, Sr., 79, of Auburn went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27th at home surrounded by his family. His wife of 47 years, Joanne (Stapleton) Lemieux died in 2003. He leaves three sons, Edward H. Lemieux, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Auburn, Scott Lemieux of Auburn and Leonard Lemieux of Burlington; a daughter, Lori Vivlamore and her husband, William of Auburn; two brothers, Paul LaRochelle and his wife, Karen of Deer Park, WA and Ronald LaRochelle and his wife, Nancy of Shrewsbury; a sister, Jean LaRochelle of Worcester; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynne Moseley. He was born in Worcester the son of Raymond and Alice (Lavoie) LaRochelle and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. Mr. Lemieux was a truck driver for UPS for 40 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, the Local 170 and the Chester P. Tuttle Post 279. Edward attended that Auburn Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with his family. His funeral is Wednesday, December 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. WORCESTER – Adelaide “Kay” (Kennedy) Beschle, 88, of Worcester, passed away at UMass Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 29 after a short illness and a rich long life. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” Beschle. She is survived by her four children, Andrew Beschle and his wife Janice, Mark Beschle and his wife Teresa, Susan Bonadonna and her husband Reed, and John Beschle; her five grandchildren, Morgan Beschle and her husband Griffin Jones, Neil Beschle, Erik Bonadonna, Devon Bonadonna, and Luke Bonadonna; and her cherished dog, Chloe; She leaves behind many close friends including her beloved and long-time knitting crew, piano teacher, personal trainer, and friendly neighbors. As an adventurous twenty-something, Kay traveled to Berlin, Hong Kong, and the Philippines as a secretary for the State Department. During her travels, she met the love of her life, Dick, and eloped with him in the Philippines shortly thereafter. Kay enjoyed knitting, playing piano, paint-by-numbers, British television, exotic foods, eating out, apple-tinis, and reading. Above all these, she loved the water; After directing the swimming program at the YWCA in Worcester for 30 years and teaching all five of her grandchildren how to swim, she spent her retirement visiting a swim club multiple times per week until the ripe old age of 86. Actively involved in the rearing of her five grandchildren, she spent many an hour building outlines of houses with pebbles at the bus stop, hosting silver-dollar pancake eating contests, and commanding bath time like a drill sergeant. Kay was a feisty, hilarious, and intelligent force with an infectious zest for life. She treated everyone like a friend until they became one. She will be remembered and missed. Kay requested no services. In honor of Kay’s commitment to march to the beat of her own drummer, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Shrewsbury-Stephen Bukowiecki, of Shrewsbury, died Friday in Worcester Rehabilitation Healthcare Center after a period of declining health. He was 97. His wife of 60 years, Genevieve A. (Pulaski) Bukowiecki, died in 2009. He is survived by his son Robert Bukowiecki and his daughter-in-law Dr. Elaine (Shaw) Bukowiecki of Shrewsbury and several nieces and nephews. Stephen is predeceased by his brothers: Benjamin and John Bukowiecki, and sisters: Stachia Samko, Victoria Patsky, Alice Richard, and Mary Cusson. Stephen was born in Worcester. He was the son of the late Stanislaw and Antonina (Kotwascz) Bukowiecki and was raised in part by his late step-father Bronislaw Snopka. He was educated in the Worcester Schools, graduating from Worcester Boys Trade School. Mr. Bukowiecki worked as a Toolmaker for Parker Metal and the Washburn Wire Co. before retiring in 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish with his wife Genevieve. Together they maintained the large gardens around their home. He was an active member of the Greendale Men’s Club and Saint Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury. AUBURN- Antoinette F. Giannini, 91, a longtime Auburn resident died peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her grandniece, with whom she lived, Marybeth Schultz and her children Louis and Lily; two nieces, Anne Coyne and her husband, John and their son, Matthew of Auburn; and Elizabeth Giannini and her husband, Jeffrey McCollough and daughters, Rose and Kathryn of Hatfield; a nephew, Frank Domenic Giannini, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer and daughters, Eden and Ava of Roanoke, Virginia. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Domenic and Mary (Amato) Giannini. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Louis Domenic Giannini and Frank Domenic Giannini and his wife, Rosemarie (Monfreda) Giannini and grandnephew, Stephen Ryan Coyne. Antoinette started taking piano lessons as a young child. After graduating from North High School in 1941, she went on to study music at Boston University. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in 1944 and a Master’s Degree in Music 1948. While continuing her education at Columbia University and The Julliard School in New York City, she accompanied many performers, including Roland Hayes, performed at Carnegie Hall, and was offered a Fulbright Scholarship. Antoinette’s true calling was sharing her love of music with others. Her first teaching job was at David Prouty High School in Spencer. Miss G, as she was affectionately called, led many choral groups and glee clubs, including the student nurses at Worcester City Hospital. She taught music at Commerce High School and brought a group of students to the World’s Fair to perform. When Commerce closed, Miss G. moved into Room 101 at Doherty Memorial High School in 1966, and remained a faculty member until her retirement in 1991. Throughout her life, Antoinette enjoyed traveling, theater and the world of great music and art. After retiring, she continued to teach piano privately and was a judge for National Guild of Piano Teachers. She loved corresponding with former students and took great pride in all of their accomplishments after they left her classroom. Antoinette also loved spending her summers in Maine by the ocean with her family. James W. Lennox, 75, formerly of West Brookfield passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He leaves his wife of 51 years Janet (Harvey) Lennox, two sons, Randall S. Lennox and his wife Karen, Peter A. Lennox, a daughter, Laura Jean Lennox of Boston and two grandchildren, Susan G. and Charles R. Lennox of Ware. James was born in Hinsdale, IL the son of the late Charles E. and Marjorie J. (Droppers) Lennox. His sister, Joanne L. Sokow predeceased him. Jim received his BS from Aurora College and an MS from Rivier College. Jim taught in Tewksbury Public Schools for more than twenty years. He also worked for A to Z Integrated Systems in Worcester, MA. Jim started the recycling program in Tewksbury and was awarded the Massachusetts Outstanding Citizen Award in 1980. He served on the Board of Health and Conservation Commission. He was a Past Master of Wamesit Lodge in Tewksbury and a member of Aleppo Temple. He was an active member of Boy Scout committees in both Tewksbury and West Brookfield and was an early president of MASSOG genealogists. A memorial service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. There are no calling hours. Auburn – Vincent A. Tassone Jr., 86, of Auburn, died on Thursday, December 4th in the Knollwood Nursing Center after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marion J. (Langer) Tassone; two sons, Matthew Tassone of Auburn and his best friend, Stephanie Masiello as well as Christopher Tassone and his long time companion, Christina Hoernke of Auburn; two daughters, Lisa Young and her husband Steven of Auburn and Mary Tassone Kaizer and her husband Edward of Wilmington, MA; 3 sisters, Mary Richards and Viola Tassone both of North Adams and Madeline Paciorek of Adams, MA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nephews and nieces. Vincent was born in North Adams, son of the late Vincent and Margaret (Morocco) Tassone. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Champlain University in New York and served in the United States Army. Mr. Tassone worked as the purchasing manager for Sprague Electric for many years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed many things, however, a couple of his favorite things to do was gardening and playing tennis. Robert A. “Bob” Connors, 90, of Shrewsbury, passed quietly on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Bob leaves his wife, and best friend, Mary M. (Wynne) Connors; and many nieces and nephew throughout the country. He was predeceased by several of his siblings. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Lawrence J. and Honoria E. (Casey) Connors. He graduated from Commerce High School and then enlisted in the United States Army. He served honorably with the US Army Air Corp as a Staff Sergeant with the 614th Bomb Squadron and the 401st Bomb Group which was active in the Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland Campaigns. Bob had been employed by the Worcester Public Schools as a Senior Custodian for over 39 years retiring in 1989. (Fuess) Dunkerton, their children; Marcia L. Thompson and her husband James of New Bern, NC, and Lorne W. Dunkerton and his wife Barbara of Charlton, loving grandchildren; Christian A. and Lillian J. Dunkerton both of Charlton, and Cortney Thompson of Whitinsville, and Jonathan Thompson of New Bern, NC, three sisters; Carol Dunkerton of Oxford, Lorna Girouard of Worcester, and Martha Skamarock and her husband David, of Oxford, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his three brothers; Lorne A., George C., and Robert J. Dunkerton. He was born in Worcester. David is the son of the late Lorne A. and Clara L. (McKinstry) Dunkerton. He is a graduate of Auburn High School and served as a Seebee in the US Navy. David was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years, working for several area construction companies prior to retiring. Mr. Dunkerton was a keyboardist for several area local bands and enjoyed baseball, softball and bowling leagues. He especially enjoyed his impromptu horseshoe league at his home on weekends with family and friends. He spent his winters at his home in Florida in Port Charlotte, where he enjoyed Red Sox Spring Training games and golfing. He was proud of the 2 hole-in-ones he recorded at the Bluffs and Hillcrest country clubs. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Elks. Relatives and friends are invited to attend David’s funeral service which will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church of Auburn, 128 Central Street, Auburn. Aimee Beth Judice, 37, of Auburn, died Wednesday, December 10th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves two sons, Anthony and Codie Judice; a daughter, Emma Judice all of Auburn; her mother, Emily (Jones) Cormier of Worcester; her fiancé, Edward Derosier of Auburn and his mother, Mary Fassett and her fiancé, Gerald Faucher of Rochdale; her sister, Sheri-Ann Villeneuve of Worcester; Uncle Rod; her former husband, Jason R. Judice of Worcester; an aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Claude Bailey of Auburn and many cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Melanie Cormier. She was born in Worcester. Aimee was a medical assistant for many years and most recently worked at Victoria’s Secret. She enjoyed shopping, camping and scrapbooking. Aimee loved spending time with her children and Ed. She was a fun loving person with a very big heart. Aimee also leaves her dog, Ozzy and cat, GiGi. She will be missed that all that knew her. Milton Richard Landry, Sr., 86, passed away quietly in his home on December 15, 2014 surrounded by his family. Milton was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was the loving father of 14 children. Milton is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Gregory) Landry ; his children Lynn Couture and her husband, Paul, Susan Burns and her husband, Walter, Barbara Shea, Charles, Joseph, Paul and his wife, Ellen, Peter, David and his wife, Nancy, Mary and her wife, Betty Brigham, Carolyn Leonard and her husband, Martin, Milton Jr. and his wife, Shirley, Stephen and his wife, Michele, Christopher and his wife, Denise and a sister, Jeannette Hayes. He was a doting grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his eldest child, Richard in 2006, his brother, Norman, his sisters, Dorothy “Mae” Donovan and Leona Goodell. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Charles and Henrietta (Blanchard) Landry. After graduating from South High School in Worcester, Milton married his high school sweetheart, Barbara on February 10, 1948 and together they created a strong loving family. He was a wonderful husband and father who bent over backwards to support his families’ individual endeavors. Milton was the President/Owner of Dalco Contracting whose many projects can be found throughout Worcester County at schools, parks and private homes. He was a member of the Adelphi Council # 4181 Knights of Columbus, the Harmony Club and he attended weekly Mass at Saint Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury. Family vacations were never far from the seashore where Milton drew great inspiration from the ocean. He enjoyed many deep-sea- fishing weekends with his sons and daughters. In his retirement years, Milton enjoyed following C-Span as a result of his interest in politics and government issues. He could give a short bio on any legislator in the House or Senate. His self- taught computer skills allowed for Milton to keep up with world events and his love for the stock market by online trading. He inspired his children with his steadfast character and noble spirit. He will remain forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank the Gentiva Hospice staff who assisted in Milton’s care. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Milton’s family on Thursday December 18, 2014 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. His funeral will be on Friday December 19, 2014 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. SHREWSBURY- Elizabeth C. “Liz” (Noble) Mulcahy, 93, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester. Liz’s husband, James J. Mulcahy, II, died in 1975. Liz had seven children. She is survived by James J. Mulcahy, III and his wife, Kathleen of Shrewsbury, Kathleen Belcafine and her husband, Richard of Ocala, Florida, Michael and his wife, Ann of Gresham, Oregon, Patrick of Satellite Beach, Florida and John and his wife Sally of Clinton; also survived by 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Kevin and Dennis Mulcahy; and six siblings, Edith, Lillian, Irene, Frank, May and Marion. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank E. and Mary E. (Bradshaw) Noble. Liz graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School as a seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and her weekly card playing with her sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Liz’s family on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 4-6 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury.
